Paphos

Paphos is a harbour resort with restaurants, bars, tavernas, luxury hotels, water sports and you can even take a sunset cruise and watch the sun go down over the harbour. You may even get to see one of the many concerts held at the castle in the harbour whilst you are there.

Paphos has a mixture of both city and picturesque village styles as you have the busy resort side and the smaller port side to it.

The town host fiestas with street side stalls and you can eat freshly made Cyprus food. The main street is closed off during Fiesta time so that everyone can walk down the street in safety and join in the fun. There are even fireworks displays across the old castle in the port which can be seen from many of the waterfront hotels.

Drive in to the Troodos Mountains and go pony trekking, visit waterfalls, local tavernas and see magnificent views from the top.

Visit the Tombs of the Kings with its ancient buriel grounds that you can climb down into. You can also see many pieces of crockery and jewellery that have been found on the grounds of the Tombs. It does get very hot there so may be a morning trip to be made. If not take lots of water with you.

Take a 15 minutes journey and travel to Coral Bay where you can enjoy a sandy beach and also eat at the Tavernas, there are many shops and bars on the way to Coral Bay to dine at. You can also visit the Dam near by to Paphos.

Watersports include jet skiing, water skiing, paragliding and fishing.

You can fly directly to Paphos from most airports and the resort is approximately 30 minutes from the airport in non peak times.
