In a move to improve the service it offers its customers Avis has announced that it will be introducing its home delivery and collection service throughout the capital. The introduction of the service to various areas of London follows the successful trial of the initiative in other areas of the UK.
Avis customers who do not live close to one of the car rental firm’s outlets will find the service particularly appealing, as will those who don’t have the time on their hands to travel to an Avis branch to collect or drop off their car hire.
Head of marketing at Avis UK, Nick Mountfield, said: “We are committed to offering our London customers the most convenient and seamless service possible. Having seen a positive response to the service from both existing and new customers in its first few months across other regions of the UK, a roll out to our key London stations was the obvious next step for Avis.”
Initially, the option to have a vehicle delivered or collected at a time convenient to the customer will be rolled out across much of the west London area including Kensington, Chelsea, Notting Hill, Bayswater, Brentford, Brompton and Maida Vale. Avis branches in the Enfield area, including Tottenham, Chingford, Palmers Green and Edmonton, will also deliver vehicles to customers’ doorsteps; as will branches in the Dartford and Croydon areas of the capital.
