Cliff Jacobs and Mark Goveia, longtime veterans of the hotel industry, have combined to make the Exquisite Card, which will offer hotel and car hire discounts to customers who are loyal to a particular brand.    The two hope the card will allow for easy access to the number of customers who do their own research online before making their purchases from the supplier directly.

Benefits are offered to these do-it-yourself travelers who represent an increasingly larger share of the overall travel market.   The repeat customers can expect to receive up to 20 percent in savings on things like hotel rooms and car rental.  Some hotels and car hire agencies are willing to eat the cost of the discount in exchange for higher numbers of customers.

Customers can go directly to the Exquisite card website to browse deals from Exquisite business partners, and then book their car or room direct, using the voucher number supplied on the site to receive the discount.
Exquisite Card will be screening each partner to insure that the deals are valid, and that their customers are receiving a high level of service.  “All establishments and partners of Exquisite Card are expected to meet rigorous standards,” said Goveia in a statement earlier this week.
