Thrifty Car Rental in Oman is now offering customers in the sultanate transport solutions in Ruwi. A new outlet has just been opened in the important business district to supply rental vehicles to residents, tourists and business travellers. The new location is in addition to shops in Al Khuwair, Muscat, Sohar and Salalah.
As well as adding locations, Thrifty has confirmed that it will be increasing the size of its fleet by around 10 per cent in order to be able to cope with the growth in demand expected over the next couple of months. Thrifty Car Rental deputy managing director in Oman, Mehdi Jaffer, said this year had seen an increase in demand for 4-wheel drive cars.
He added that because the cool season is approaching, many people will be looking forward to getting outside and enjoying the good weather. It is also a popular time for people living in the sultanate to go away on holiday, according to Jaffer.
He went on to say that as well as growing its fleet, Thrifty was offering its customers the latest in Sat Nav technology. Jaffer said that due to the way people travel in Oman, Sat Nav was often requested by drivers.
The firm has also improved its breakdown service. Jaffer said it was imperative that Thrifty supplied the best possible road side assistance to its customers, especially at a time when there is likely to be more traffic on the roads. Breakdown support will be made available at any time of the day or night.
