General Payment Terms and Conditions
The following are the general payment terms and conditions that all
customers must agree to for any booking regardless of location and supplier:
- Car Hire Direct vouchers will only be sent out once the payment
has been taken. There are No Credit Card charges or Amendment Fees.
- We accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, SWITCH/SOLO, DELTA & VISA
DEBIT. Please note the Opening Hours of your selected location when
booking.
- Cancellation Charges apply as follows:
- Before the date of collection - £20 / €30
- On or after the date of collection - £50 / €75
- You have the option of taking out a cancellation protection to
cover you for this eventuality, the cost is £5.00 (€7.00 if paying
in euros) per week.
- We strongly recommend you take the cancellation protection but
this is an optional extra. In the event that you pay for a booking
in a different currency than your card statement is quoted in, you
may suffer currency exchange losses in the event that we have to
refund your payment for whatever reason. Refunds will be made in the
same currency as payment. To avoid this we recommend that you pay in
the same currency as your credit card statement appears in if
possible. In certain circumstances a booked vehicle may not be
available. Autobookers plc and Car Hire Direct reserve the right to
cancel your booking with a full refund. We will notify you
immediately of such cancellations to minimise any inconvenience
caused, and also try to offer you an alternative vehicle if one is
available.
By submitting my booking to Car Hire Direct, I am accepting the terms
and conditions set out above.
Supplier / Location Terms and Conditions
Car Hire Direct terms and conditions vary by destination and
supplier. Click on the country names to see the car hire terms and conditions
that apply to bookings in those destinations.
In some countries we have more than one car hire supplier.
Although generally car hire terms and conditions are very similar within the
same country, some differences might apply. If there is more than one supplier
for a location, you can see which supplier applies to a particular location and
vehicle by clicking on the vehicle name in the 'Select a vehicle' step, before
you submit the car hire booking details to us.
