If you want to see more of northern Italy and you’ve just finished touring Venice; Vicenza is a good place to visit. This town is about sixty kilometers from Venice and you can get here through the railway or by driving your own car.

When in Vicenza, there are likewise plenty to see here. You will need your car hire from the Venice Rail Station since scheduled tours are not always available here. Buses are not lacking here and in fact, it’s been observed that the buses far outnumber the people that actually ride in them.

There are areas where cars are not allowed particularly at the heritage sights but you can park in nearby spots. Andrea Palladio was an architect who built and designed Vicenza’s famous architectural masterpieces such as the Teatro Olimpico – a work completed by the artist’s son after he passed away.

The Palazzo della Regione at the Piazza dei Signori is perhaps the best example of the true artistry of Palladio.
