Figueretas has evolved from a capital suburb to one of the popular holiday destinations in Ibiza. It is located just east of the capital town, a five-minute drive by car hire at Ibiza- Figueretas or twenty minutes on foot.

The beach at Figueretas is backed by a promenade where numerous cafes and restaurants are located. This walkway runs the length of the beach and extends into the nearby Playa den Bossa beach, a little to the south. At night, this palm-lined promenade is the abode of local artisans selling various interesting handicrafts.

The community is home to some interesting restaurants along the bay. There are some British pubs in the area, which serve the usual grub together with some light entertainment like the Royal Oak. Restaurante Prinsipe, meanwhile, serves up delightful fish cuisine fresh from the Mediterranean. Then there is the Shanti Sakti, an Indian restaurant that is notable for delicious curry.

If the relatively subdued atmosphere at Figueretas does not suit you, take advantage of cheap car hire at Ibiza- Figueretas and drive to the busy center at Ibiza town. Another option is to head south to Playa den Bossa beach where parties are louder and livelier. For families, the huge water park at this neighboring beach makes for a fulfilling visit.

For a different adventure drive up by car rental in Ibiza- Figueretas to the Los Molinos Hotel for a boat ride to the nearby island of Formentera. There is also an available cruise to Es Cana beach, which offers a different approach to that famous shoreline.
