Mauritius is a small island belonging to the Mascarene Islands off the coast of Africa. It is composed of several towns where Port Louis is its capital. Port Louis is the island’s main city as well as its central port. It is home to various architectural structures that date back to 1835 and which are all well preserved. One example of this is the La Citadelle which is a fort where you can see most of the buildings found in the city. The capital is also enclosed by mountains which are commonly referred to as the Port Louis Moka Range.

Port Louis is slowly changing its look with various skyscrapers and industrial sections. Though it is the busiest part of Mauritius, there are still lots of visitors as well as sights that should not be missed.
