Convention is an underground Metro station in the 15th arrondissement of the famous capital city of Paris in France. The area is the vastest in the inner city and is largely a residential spot inhabited by Paris’s middle and upper classes. Not many tourists travel to this area as there is little to do here in the way of sightseeing and attractions. Many do come here for car hire at Paris – Convention, however.
The station is situated on line 12 of the subway system. It was first opened in 1910 and the line runs directly from the Notre Dame de Lorette stop to Porte de Versailles. The 15th arrondissement sits on the River Seine’s left bank in the southwest of the famous city. The area is generally quite upmarket and where many of the city’s wealthiest residents live. In nearby Porte de Versailles is the Parc des Expositions. This international exhibition centre is worth visiting while you are around the area. Also in this area is the famous Pasteur Museum ( Musée Pasteur). You will find it on Rue du Dr-Roux if travelling in your hire car. Tourists will find that on public holidays and the weekends the museum is closed, but it is, however, open during the week. The building was where the celebrated Pasteur spent the final years of his life and the apartment is still just as it was at that time. The scientist’s original instruments and personal items still remain here.
