Access by air to Vitoria-Gasteiz, although limited, is via Vitoria Airport, located eight kilometres from the city. Originally built as a replacement for Bilbao Airport, the facility now mostly serves logistics companies such as DHL and Fedex. Passenger services are restricted to Iberia’s regional partner Air Nostrum’s several weekly flights from Madrid.
