Sesimbra is located south of Lisbon, along the south-central coast of Portugal. With car hire in Sesimbra, visitors can experience the many sights of the city. Sesimbra rests next to the Sado River, and stands at the base of the Arrabida ranges. Tourism is becoming more and more significant for the town’s economy as the population continues to increase.

Sesimbra is served by the Lisbon International Airport, located about 25kms to the northeast of the town. Cheap car hire at Sesimbra is by far the quickest mode of transport to the airport. However, taxis and public buses are also available. From Sesimbra, the airport is linked via the N378, and E01.

There is a promenade to the south of the city, along the coastline, offering picturesque walks for visitors. However, the most prominent activity in Sesimbra is undoubtedly related to the beautiful beach along the shore. Visitors can swim, enjoy beach activities, or simply rest by the water and relax.

There are about half a dozen hotels in the town, mostly located along or close to the beach. Most of the accommodation in Sesimbra is at least four-stars in rating, and can be quite expensive. However, there is a small selection of hotels situated a few hundred metres from the beach, and offer rates at a cheaper price.

A variety of attractions can be found in the Sesimbra township, including the Church Nossa Senhora de Castelo and Arrabida National Park. Getting to and from the sites is most easily accomplished with car rental at Sesimbra.
